Eleanor Hall I cannot stop listening to spotted gold, this song and this whole album are mesmerizing Favorite track: Spotted Gold.
justinnweigel

justinnweigel This reminds me so much of Modest Mouse and adolescence... My interpretation of the lyrics is that they're a commentary on our focus on social media, and the ensuing fallout that's sure to come as we mature as a generation. Maybe I'm way off, love the melancholy timbre of this song, dig it! Favorite track: Human Being.

Slow Motion 02:07
Why can't I watch you? Growing in slow motion I can feel you starting I can feel you slowing Going down the road In this out of control locomotive That is not stopping For no one You bottle me in your pocket and explode Give me something And I don't know what it's for And right when it starts to feel like home It's time to go You'll be looking At a depression in the sand At the silhouette Of an unfolded hand If there's nothing At the finish of our plan We can just start over Right back where we began If it doesn't Happen too fast It's gonna happen real slow It will just slip out your fingers And you won't even notice Which way it went Which way it goes Why can't I watch you? Growing in slow motion I can feel you starting I can feel you slowing Going down the road In this out of control locomotive That is not stopping For no one You bottle me In your pocket and explode Give me something and I don't know what it's for And right when it starts To feel like home It's gonna slip out your fingers and You don't even notice Which way it went Which way it goes

Faded Heart 02:58
Hide away Faded heart Everything you come to know Falls apart I thought I saw you standing On that little cloud How did you get so loud? There you were Falling through My hands like sand There's nothing I Can really do I thought I saw you standing On that little cloud How did you get so loud? I thought I saw you standing On that little cloud How did you even know how? I thought I saw you standing there But you were gone long gone No you were gone way gone

Spotted Gold 02:20
All I wanted from you Spotted gold Turned black and blue It gave me something To hold onto You've been reckless for so long You've been reckless on a marathon But if you wanted to walk away You can do that It all goes in a gust I don't want to make a fuss I don't make you wear a leash I won't bring you things you don't need And if you gotta go I understand if you feel the breeze But if you wanted to walk away You can do that I can feel a lift I can sense a shift I can feel the grip release I know you're here with me But if you wanted to walk away You can do that

Time to Go 02:49
Inhale in through the backbone He'll be the one that keeps us in line I've got a megaphone Retracting from his throat It ain't something you know Your action growing cold Ain't it hard to break The ones you know Ain't it hard to know When it's time to go It's time to go Inhale in through the backbone He'll be the one that keeps us in line I've got a stethoscope Refracting from his throat It ain't something you know Your action growing cold Ain't it hard to break The ones you know Ain't it hard to know When it's time to go It's time to go Form it in the last year It's coming out his glass ear Bottles are upside down He's blasting the bastard It moves faster and faster Can I afford this Can I avoid this When it moves So slow It's time to go

Messes 03:46
I know you Got lost in Your own mess Wrong for all the right reasons I didn't mind

Becoming shadows There's no forgetting twice They say A fragmented phrase The words I used to abhor Bored out of something We used to hold together To feel apart from ourselves We used to distance to Keep us together We used to distance to keep us joined and We used distance to Keep us together and We used distance to keep us joined I guess it grows and I guess who knows Just a distant groan don't Hold us all apart In the same spot At the same time I can't watch you Up and again on rewind Meet me at the same spot you used to We can do all the things we used to do
11.
Visions undercover As a whisper that just hovers Into heads waiting to scream But until then it's just a dream Have you awakened Ahead of speed What's nauseating Could set you free What's good for you Is it relief Is it time To feel a real thing This is the second that we leave Behind the air we used to breath Slide away from my feet Where the air lost its scent And my eyelashes meet I've got a speeding ticket to you Just awaiting in my sleep What's good for you? Is it relief Is it time To feel a real thing And I saw you Using those eyes As a wicked device Your mouth was making that sound But the noise didn't coincide And I gave you that power to decide Making me run around To feel alive Making me run around Just to hide
